Hands are said to be one of the most difficult parts of the human body to accurately depict. Adeptly employing her technical skills, Frankel beautifully captures these expressive extensions of human emotion. An obsession with hands led Frankel to incorporate American Sign Language into her work, including the signs for connection, peace and love. Later, Frankel added mudra hand positions to bring further depth to this series.
